Established in 1979, the Ohio University Foundation endowment known as the 1804 Fund offers enriched learning opportunities for faculty research, graduate studies, and undergraduate learning initiatives. Founded from the estate of alumnus C. Paul Stocker, this fund supports OHIO’s mission of “maintaining, strengthening, and enhancing a learning-centered community.”
The first awards began in 1980, and since then, the 1804 Fund has assisted over 600 projects and programs with more than $15 million in funding.

ATHEN-OHIO- April 12, 2021 - The Ohio University Inn & Conference Center announced Meeting Bubble Program, a program that facilitates safe, productive meetings and events by creating a bubble environment. The program offers solutions including booking “Double the Square footage” Meeting space and hybrid meeting options through AV technology.
The Ohio University Inn & Conference Center provides safe solutions for bringing corporate teams together such as the opportunity to buyout a full-floor of the hotel. In addition to the floor-by-floor buyout, The Ohio University Inn & Conference Center works with each group to tailor the program to best meet their needs. Options include separate registration areas, meeting rooms disinfected during breaks, sanitation station at registration area and at meeting room entrances, as well as creative catering choices such as grab-and-go meals and pre-packaged snacks for team breaks.
The Meeting Bubble Program, designed to facilitate safe, productive meetings and events, follows local regulations and CDC guidelines for the safety and well-being of guests and employees. All hotel team members wear face coverings. Seating has been reduced and spaced in meeting rooms, restaurants and public spaces including the lobby. Public spaces are disinfected frequently as are high touch areas including elevator buttons, door handles and handrails. Hand sanitizer stations are provided in public areas, at elevator banks and in meeting rooms.
